Since my last post, a lot has happened to me(cellphone wise). My HTC Desire got Snatched.
Yes, Snatched by two bikers at high speed while I was on a call with the phone in my ear!
So I was phone-less for two days. Then I finally got myself another phone. A Blackberry Curve 8520.
Its a Value-For-Money phone. Great build quality and features, most of all it had BBM and all other Blackberry services!
Well, I finally understood why people love their berries so much! They are soo addictive. Its simple, clean and can be made as complex as you wish!
Its customizable too, contrary to peoples belief.
Don't even get me started on BBM! BlackBerryMessenger. Its amazing. Sure there might be whatsapp messenger. Here I can send and receive files, send out and receive status updates, and participate in my family's gossip session.
E-mail is something what all of you know about and need no introduction too! Once it would be the only reason for most people to get a Blackberry.
With Blackberry coming out with new OS6, they've improved in most areas of concern for them. They've got a good browser, good camera's coming and more.
They still lag behing in terms of hardware problems, they need better screen's, better processors and more applications.
There was a time when the Blackberry App World would lie next to empty with applications from RIM only, now there are almost all the famous app's from The Android Market and the App Store.
When I asked developers why they hesitate to devlop app's for the Blackberry, the answer is Unanimous and simple, the code is too complex and they're too complex to get them cleared for sale in the app world.
How can I forget, the QWERTY keypad, I can achieve insane speeds on this, I'm pretty sure this is one of the best laid out keyboards, due to its simplicity in which lies its genius.
There are a lot of QWERTY phones being launched and most of all, cheap ones.. Sure the Nokia C3, The E5 and others are pushing the boundries of QWERTY bars in terms of features, but they not got the main two things that make the Blackberry special, E-Mail and BBM.
And sheerly cause of these two, I'd prefer a blackberry.. ANYDAY.
